Our Future Home
In a momentous step forward, Market Street United Methodist Church has purchased a 6-acre plot of land on the corner of Mason Street (US Business Hwy 175) and Easley Street to build its new home. The land acquisition marks the beginning of an exciting journey to create a space that will serve as a hub for worship, community, and outreach. The Apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5:1 that "For we know that if our earthly house, this tabernacle, were dissolved, we have a building of God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens". While we have been eternally thankful for our temporary location in Eustace it is too small to meet our growing needs. The Eustace campus, our tabernacle of sorts, will continue to be a vital part of our mission as members of Market Street strive to spread the gospel throughout the Lake region.
“We believe this is a divine opportunity to expand our mission of love and service,” said Pastor Wayne Walters. We have no firm plans for the design of the physical church but lay leaders envision the property as more than a place of worship—it will host events, food drives, and missional workshops as a focal point, or anchor, in the community.
We invite you to join us in our mission to spread the love of Jesus for the transformation of the world. Hope is rising, and the future is bright!
